for everyone
Bedford died in my arms awhile back. He was so sick. We tried to save him but the Vet took an ex-ray and his body cavity was filled with something - cancer? fluid? We knew he had a hyperthyroid but not how sick he was until it was too late. I buried him in the backyard. Dear Bedford is waiting there for me in eternity.
Leon and I both cried and then did what we had to do.

So sorry. My sweet Butterscotch died a few years ago. Probably just old age. He was my best friend and smarter than most people I know. I miss him every day. He is buried in my flower garden.

My moms got a cat, looks exactly like that called rebel. He's a bit of a handfull, living up to his name. I can identify with Zoebeths comment. Animals always treat you the same, never judging, or falling out with you. It really is a tragedy that they live such short lives. When they are gone, a part of them lives in you, to be treasured by you, forever.

Hi Zoebeth and Dean - just noticed your two notes. Better late than never... Bedford was a very special feline.. he would jump up and knead my chest while I was at the computer, his purring was something to behold.. Leon always wondered how I typed and held a cat... I blame myself for his loss.. I should have known something was wrong but I kept dismissing the signs - I thought it was just hyperthyroidism but it wasn't. Rebel is a great name for a cat, Dean - I've owned a Stonewall and a Bedford (name those generals of the Civil War if you can!) I may own a Lee one of these days. That's what happens when you marry a Southerner!!!
