BBC NEWS | Middle East | Yemen embraces its Jurassic past

Nothing confuses people living in the Middle Ages more than dinosaurs - and here is Yemen with really decent tracks on an old beach front. I think if we are ever going to truly climb out of the Middle Ages, intellectually, as an entire race, its going to be on the back of our beloved dinosaurs !

Warm enough to make my kneels feel good not so hot that my computer begins to malfunction, can any more be asked for in July ??? OK --- I confess it --- with all the craziness of this area of the country, the horrible endless rains, winter that drags on and on sometimes right into June... summer here as just about perfect for us humans.
I went for a long walk looking for a doctor's office - it was not where Google maps said it was, but further down the street, and you guessed it, I didn't look there.
FOXNews.com - U.K. Study: Teen Girls Harmed by Pressure to Be Sexual, Act Grown Up - Health News | Current Health News | Medical News

Another question: the sexual revolution wasn't only about what goes on in the bedroom but what goes on in the mind, wasn't it - weren't we supposed to become more than just girl-cows? Teenage girls should be improving their minds, going to H.S. & college, learning how to be successful, heck, learn how to program computers... Sex is great but they should wait and give themselves some free time away from men and children and family duties

My Way News - Iran test-fires more missiles in Persian Gulf

I believe we are about 3 -5 years away from the BIG one - World War III and it will start in the Middle East as Nukes rain down on Israel -- so look at the pictures, this is another turn of that screw. Ever wonder, folks, what your mom and dad thought in 1938 as they worked each day reading bad news from Germany and Japan? This is how they felt, helpless, confused, fearful, but damn, the dishes need doing, don't they?

Vivere - the best of Andrea Bocelli

My mom wanted me to listen to and love Opera. I fear I failed, miserably. Found it incredibly boring & long winded. Never quite grabbed me by the emotions or yanked my Italian heart in the least. But if this gentleman had been singing in 1963 I might have payed far more attention - a voice that breaks the heart even when you have no idea what he is saying. A style of singing that is so wonderful you find yourself singing words you do not know but by sound -- and hoping no one is listening!
Pure, simple, beauty, this album is one of his more recent ones and also a rather fine one; It has some of his older music on it (as any 'best of ..' must ) and several newer pieces I did not recognize so they are either from new albums or are just plain -- NEW. One sounds almost Moorish or Spanish - or both, very handsome.
Well worth buying. Enjoy - completely.
Best Bocelli albums : Romanza & Sogno
Warning : This is a girl thing, men may not be moved to tears by Bocelli's voice.

The Little Ice Age (1300 - 1850 ) had a minimum of sunspot activity during the worse of it.

While science is still debating the importance of the Maunder minimum to the little ice age I have read statements that it absolutely DID have an effect and that extreme sunspot activity also occurs during hot spells here on earth--- so , I suspect the sun has a great deal to do with Earth's weather, what about you all ? --- so would you all rather freeze then burn ? I'm still debating but I think I would rather do neither.

Just because...
